So last night we found the coolest campsite owners. Byron and Lisa and their staff so friendly and generous.

We got up this morning and they were doing a breakfast on the grill due to it being a BC holiday weekend. They gave me an extra sandwich. I saw that they did slushies. But they are only on sale Wed to Sat. Byron fired up the machine and gave us free cream soda slushy and trust me in this heat it is one of a few things I dream about on trail.
They only had two of their branded camp mugs left so we saw that as a sign that they should belong to us.
I met a dog that shares a name given to me by David, Rachael’s step dad. Dexter is the name.
We went into town got supplies from a lovely market, headed to the lake side beach where I had a nap. We cycled back to the campsite via the magnificent ice cream shop. Liquorice is now my favourite ice cream flavour. Once we got back to camp will chilled out by the pool on some lounges. We got chatting to a guy that emigrated over here about eight years ago as a truck driver.

It was a lovely rest day, our first and it was a magnificent place to spend it.
