We packed up and moved around to say bye to James and the family and thank John for his good advice. He gave us his business card. He used to be a technology teacher and now he makes art out of old skateboard laminate. So if you want to check out his work his business card is below. He showed us one of his bowls and they look really cool.

Today was an easy rest day. We had some bike bits and supplies to get as over the next couple of days we are going to be out there with no services, so we have a big heavy bag of food again.
As we were doing an easy day we decided to get breakfast and have it on the beach. Rachael said never miss an opportunity to jump in water so I had my coffee and cake and jumped in.

So we were having an easy test day. That was not a zero but it was 10 miles to get supplies and a 10 mile further on our route. Progress is progress. Again we had lovely views out of Naramata. If you like wine you need to come here it is vineyard after vineyard.

We got to our campsite at Summerland. I joined the line of RV’s on the bike.

I did some bike maintenance and after that we made our way to the beach to jump in and make tea.

So tomorrow we are making our way to Ospray Lake. A wilderness site, we won’t pass any kind of service until we get to Princeton the day after. When we were in Penticton today I was on an information gathering mission as I have been told numerous times that the Princeton to Hope section we are coming to shortly is unridable due to flood damage a couple of years ago. So I think I have enough information now to make the section work without going on the main roads.
We have bern told that we have a really good chance of seeing a moose on this next section which would be ace. It is black bear territory so we will be taking all the precautions we have adopted.
