Today we awoke with a plan to head to the beach and chill. We did not even leave the tent until about 1000. It was just the right temperature as the tall trees were letting just the right amount of sun through to keep the lazy morning comfortable.

We had to make a move at some point so we got ready and headed to another amazing bakery for coffee and pastries. We ordered a variety and ended up having 2.5 very big pastries each!

We needed something to lay on at the beach so we went to a thrift store and bought a duvet cover for five dollars.
We then got on the bike and rode the three miles to the beach spot that had been recommended as a good place to swim. The beach was unusual as it was pebbles, then a row of oyster shells and then smooth sand.

We had a nice time on the beach and we spent a bit of time deciding which island to go to next. Everyone we have spoken to says that if you want a small island experience then any of the other islands will be great. Salt Springs is amazingly beautiful, but even this island seems busy compared to where we have traveled through the last few weeks. We have decided to go to Saturna Island. Everyone has said this is the perfect escape. It even has a point where whales pass on a daily basis so there is a good chance we could see some.
We finished the day off with some tacos and ice cream. Just as we were heading off to camp I spotted a cycle touring dude on a Rodriguez. I have been checking out their used section for years but a Rodriguez or a Co Motion would be a dream bike for me. To see a Rodriguez in the flesh topped off a smashing day!
