Costa Rica: Pt 19 – Surf’s Up

We had a rest day so we got up for the late breakfast. Then headed down to the beach with the intention of trying out surfing. We got some sunbeds at the quiet little bar/restaurant we hung out at yesterday. You can plonk yourself down and they never come over to pressurise you into buying their drinks or food in exchange for using their services. We do give them our business though because their food and drinks are amazing!

Rachael went in to the sea whilst I went to hire some boards.

They were not hiring out the surfboards though because the waves were not as big and the shallow water would damage the fins. He said we could take a couple of body boards though.

It was great fun. When you caught the wave it could take you all the way in.

Let’s give this a go!
Missed this one

So that occupied us on and off all day.

We went back to our restaurant for an early tea.

We rode Moose back to our accommodation and she flies without the bags, on it is great!

On the way home we heard a loud roar in the tree above us. We both spotted the Howler Monkey in plain sight just chilling on the branch.

When we got to our digs there was a lovely horse eating from our garden. They just walk around freely here. No one seems to bother with them. They must know when to go back home (if they have one).
